18 Weekender

18 Weekender

1977 - 1985

Overview

This is the ideal family cabin cruiser, particularly for the first time owner. She is trailable and is easy to handle, launch and recover and is remarkably spacious for her size sleeping four in comfort.

The cabin area is fully lined. A warm and relaxing atmosphere is created by the moquette cushions, backrests, carpeting and curtains which are all included as standard. The seating can be used as two separate berths or can be converted into a double by use of the centre table and infill cushions. The table itself adjusts up and down and can be swung out of the way into the bow.

There is provision for a chemical or sea toilet on one side of the cabin and on the other a stainless steel sink has been fitted with space for a two burner stove. The front cabin window opens out onto the foredeck where there is a self draining anchor locker and stainless steeel pulpit.

There is no wasted space inside the cabin as plenty of storage is available beneath the seating and on the shelves behind the backrest for all the paraphernalia of boating.

The cleverly designed folding bulkhead provides a table surface and gives good communication between the cabin and the cockpit with a feeling of light and space.

The cockpit is a good deep well offering excellent weather protection and safety for the family. When the rear seat across the beam of the boat is converted into a double berth or sunbed extra space can be gained by the complete removal of the two adjustable helmseats thus making the best use of the cockpit as a sleeping area. There is also full standing headroom beneath the canopy.

The dash panel comes complete with steering wheel and speedometer together with switches for the full set of navigation lights. Again, in the cockpit there is plenty of storage for batteries, fuel tank etc. under the rear seat.

The tonneau cover also comes as part of the package for use when towing or leaving the boat on a mooring.

Available in inboard and outboard versions with a choice of colours the 18' Weekender is a good value for money boat.
